Meet Dr. Tori Irvine
I guess I loved, I loved science in school and math, and I loved working and coaching kids. And so somebody in my family said, hey, you should be a dentist. And so I worked with my dentist and thought, OK, this is good.
I’ll go to dental school. And then I actually really went to dental school. I went to UNC Chapel Hill for undergrad.
I ran for Chapel Hill, actually, and got the Scholar Athlete Award. And then I graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. And then I went to UNC School of Dentistry, also in Chapel Hill, and graduated with honors.
For a couple of years, I did a whole series of classes for placing implants and bone grafting. I also have taken an extensive number of classes for Invisalign, just to improve the outcome, more efficient outcome, using the Invisalign technology. I also took a series of, a mini residency for the Dawson, which is a type of full mouth rehabilitation class, which lasted over a year and a half.
Because things have changed so fast in dentistry, it’s good to keep updated and keep getting the new technology and everything, too. The most rewarding thing about being a dentist is helping somebody who has a painful tooth or a broken tooth, or somebody who does not like their smile. And because we were able to improve their smile, they have more confidence and smile more.

Since the 9th grade, Dr. Tori Irvine had a passion for biology. After helping out at dental offices during the summer, her love of science grew into a passion for dentistry. She received her doctorate from UNC–Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. For 17 years, she has shared her love of caring for smiles with her patients.
Dr. Tori is committed to helping you achieve optimal dental health and a beautiful smile. She has completed hundreds of hours of advanced training so that you and your family will receive the best care. She is Dawson-certified and received additional implant training through implant seminars taught by Dr. Arun Garg. Also, she has invested in advanced technology for our office, such as a CEREC machine for same-day dental restorations and CBCT scanning equipment. She has invested time, effort, and money into being able to meet almost all of your smile needs at one location.
When not in the office, Dr. Irvine enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include participating in triathlons, tennis, yoga, hiking, and visiting national parks.

This time, Dr. Irvine(I call her Dr Beauty!) actually driled through an implant to tighten it(then patched it flawlessly)and I didn’t even have novocane and felt nothing!!!! (now for last years’ post): She and her staff are the most friendly, knowledgeable, caring, and PAIN FREE of any dentists I’ve been to in my 88 years! Just returned from my first visit. It was great!! Highly professional and very friendly at every turn. Jeri, who cleaned my teeth, did an exceptional job. Really liked my previous dentist (of over 30 years), but he retired and prices had been going up quickly. Definitely recommend these folks. Just went today for my second cleaning. As before, it was a great experience. Jerilyn is amazing! Whatsherface the dentist too. The technology these folks have is amazing. Oh My Gosh! Dr. Tori Irvine and her assistant Jackie, as well as the administrative staff…and everyone there are fantastic! I had a cavity in a wisdom tooth that was taken care of…that could have lead to an eventual root canal. No pain, sensation…or any kind of uncomfortableness. I don’t mind having a temporary crown, in fact that’s what I’m used too; and then getting regular crown later. Now a days crowns are done in the office with new technology, but with the new software I think Dr Irwin did the best she could. I’m glad if she wasn’t satisfied she wasn’t going to make it work. I’m OK waiting for new crown to be fixed off site. But; it was a long 3 hours with the whole ordeal. Mouth is sore; but I’m fine. I would recommend Providence Dentistry to my friends. Thanks We completed the crown today and it went well; with little or no problems. I feel good so far and Dr. Irwin did a good job. Tay her dental assistant also did a good job. I have a cleaning coming up on Nov1st. LETS DO IT!!!! My cleaning on the 9th was great with Emily. She does a great job!!! 12-3-24 I had a cleaning today with Emily and she was great. She is really the only one that cleans my teeth and I’m very satisfied with her expertise. She is also very personal and a nice person. 4/11/24 Had cleaning today and Emily was fantastic.
